Johnnie Anderson Arthur Passes May 12, 2005

Mr. Johnnie Anderson Arthur, age 76 of Douglasville, Georgia passed away on 
Thursday, May 12, 2005. He was the son of the late Frank D. and Annie Clackley 
Arthur. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was of the Baptist Faith.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Arthur and two grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-six year, Mary Arthur, sons, John and Cheryl 
Arthur and Jeff and Kim Arthur, all of Douglasville and Gary and Janet Arthur 
of Franklin; daughters, Peggy “P.J.” Adams and Linda and Clint Pace, all of 
Douglasville; brothers, Frankie and Geraldine Arthur of Clanton, Alabama, 
LeRoy and Linda Arthur and Delbert and Ginny Arthur, all of Montgomery, 
Alabama; sisters, Earlene Allen of Verbena, Alabama, Louise and James Kelley 
of Cooper, Alabama, Nettie Mae and Fonzie Minor of Clanton, Alabama, Gracie 
and Doug Coggins of Montgomery, Alabama, Ruthie and Mike Coggin of Lanett, 
Alabama; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren,.

Funeral Services were held Sunday, May 15, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the Clanton 
Church of God with Reverend Wendell Kelley officiating.

Interment followed in Mountain Springs Church Cemetery.

Rideouts Funeral Home of Prattville, Alabama and Couch-Garner & Cole Funeral 
Home of Douglasville were in charge of arrangements.
