He was born on July 14, 1927 in Rome, Georgia to the late William and Bessie Cargle. He was a retired tree surgeon and was an Air Force and Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Cargle. Surviving are his wife of 48 years Charlotte Kiser Cargle; sons and daughters- in-law, James H. and Gloria Cargle of Newnan, Gary and Katie Cargle of Kennesaw, Arlen Cargle of Rome, James L. and Pam Cargle of Carrollton, Dale and Michelle Cargle of Douglasville and Ricky Cargle of Hirma; daughters, Victoria Aleman of Warner Robins, Teresa Dyer of Marietta and Regina Cargle of Carrollton; a sister, Gaynell Huckabee of Rome; brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin and Mary Cargle of Kennesaw, Daniel and Dot Cargle of Marietta, Raymond and Ruby Cargle Smyrna, Marvin and Carolyn Cargle of Woodstock and Reno Cargle of Rome; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; many nieces and newphews. Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 30, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. from Clark Fune3ral Home with Reverend Loran Crowe officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton.
