Chasteen Mrs. Thelma W. Chasteen, 75, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away June 2, 2005 at her residence. Mrs. Chasteen was born June 22, 1929 in Paulding County, Georgia, daughter of the late Jessie and Hattie (Blackmon) Walker. She worked in housekeeping for WellStar Paulding Hospital and was member of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Michael (Carol) Chasteen and Mr. and Mrs. Donald (Julie) Chasteen, both of Dallas; three grandsons, Mr. David Wayne Chasteen of Dallas, Michael Shane and Laura Chasteen of Dallas and Joshua Chasteen of Acworth; granddaughter, Tori Leigh Chasteen of Acworth, step-great- granddaughter, Amber Greene of Dallas; step-grandson, Austin Greene of Dallas; great-granddaughter, Kayla Chasteen of Dallas; three sisters, Mrs. Lucille W. Osborne of Dallas, Mr. and Mrs. Howard (Alma) Rogers of Springdale, Arkansas and Mr. and Mrs. James "Junior" (Shirley) Turner of Hiram; brother, Mr. and Mrs. Houston (Elwanda) Walker of Dallas; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jesse and Hattie Walker, she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Mr. Donald Chasteen and brothers, Mr. William "BJ" Walker and Mr. Jesse Renay Walker. Funeral Services were conducted on Saturday, June 4, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Benson Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Feathers officiating. Special music was rendered by Mr. Tony Harris. Interment followed in Dallas Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were David Chasteen, Joshua Chasteen, Shane Chasteen, John Parker, Jason Widner, Mike McKinney, and Kyle McKinney.
