Mrs. Valarie Lee Chelmey Passes Oct. 11, 2004


Mrs. Valarie Lee Chelmey, age 49, of Dallas, Georgia passes away Monday, 
October 11, 2004. She was born on January 18, 1955 in Jacksonville, Florida to 
Alma June McLain and the late Abner Pyke. She was a homemaker and a member of 
the life Church of God.

Surviving are her husband, Ronald James “Ron” Chelmey; a daughter and son-in-
law, Rhonda and Brian Vaught of Dallas; sons and daughter-in-laws, Eric Justin 
Stokes of Dallas, Johnny and Theresa Hand of Birmingham, Alabama and Ronald 
and Cela Chelmey of Hagarstown, Maryland. Her mother Alma June McLain of 
Dallas; a sister, Cathy Pyke of Birmingham; brothers and sister-in-law, 
Michael and Heather Rose of Nashville, Tennessee and Tiger Pyke of Birmingham; 
grandchildren, Zane Chelmey, Elijah and Jonas Vaught.

A Memorial Service was held on Wednesday, October 13, 2002 at 6 p.m. from the 
Chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Adams officiating. The body was 
cremated.

Clark Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
