She was born in Paulding County on July 23, 1915 the daughter of the late Willie Baxter and Robert Wood. She was a member of McDonough Baptist Tabernacle, devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and her pets. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Alexander Craig in 2000, son, Charles Barnett in 1992, brothers Fred Woo, Baxter Wood and Spurgen Wood; sisters, Minnie Lee Fuller, Clara Lee, Clinton Shelton, Geneva Bookout, Ruby Crocker and Ophelia Hitchcock. She is survived by sons, Marshall Barnett of McDonough, Mr. and Mrs. George (Marie) Barnett of Powder Springs and daughter-in-law, Brenda Barnett of Griffin; grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Larry (Kathy) Watkins, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne (Georgia) Rakestraw, Mr. and Mrs. Joey (Cassie) Jenkins, Ms. Patricia Stapleton, Mr. and Mrs. Terry (Judy) Rackley, Ms. Kym Barnett and 6 great- grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, July 5, 2004 at 11 a.m. at McDonough Baptist Tabernacle with Reverend James West officiating. Interment followed at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Haisten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
