Marshall H. Forsyth, age 75 of Tara Lane, Dallas, Georgia passed away May 31, 2004 at WellStar Paulding Hospital. Rev. Forsyth was born February 25, 1929 in Paulding County, Georgia, son of the late Arthur and Linoma (Smith) Forsyth. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Dallas and was a teacher for the Paulding County school system. Rev. Forsyth also worked at Lockheed Aircraft as a dispatcher for 15 years. Survivors inlcude his wife of more than 50 years, Mrs. Clarice Fennell Forsyth, having been married on October 2, 1953; three daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Danny (Kathy) Harris of Hiram, Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie (Melanie) Bennett of Hiram and Ms. Cindy Forsyth of Talmo, Georgia; son, Mr. and Mrs. Kenny (Kathie) Forsyth of Dallas; sister, Ms. Margaret Forsyth of Dallas; two granddaughters, Natalie and Tim Wilson and Brooke and Alan Rakestraw, both of Dallas; three grandsons, Blake Forsyth of Dallas and Kyle Harris and Jamie Bennett both of Hiram; great-grandsons, Master Kade Wilson and Master Reid Wilson, both of Dallas. In addition to his parents, Arthur and Linoma Forsyth, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Mr. Lonnie Forsyth, Mr. Doyal Forsyth, Mr. Elgin Forsyth and Mr. Chasteen Forsyth; sisters, Mrs. Adale Holland, Mrs. Mozella Thomas and Mrs. Willie T. Baxter and father-in-law Mr. Claude S. Fennell. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. from Benson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wiley B. Butler and Rev. Thomas Cole officiating. Special music was rendered by Mrs. Donna Clay, Mrs. Brenda Voyles and Mr. Tim Bell. Interment followed in Dallas Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were Danny Harris, Ronnie Bennett, Tim Wilson, Kyle Harris, Blake Forsyth and Alan Rakestraw. Benson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
