Mrs. Gamblin was born March 24, 1918 in Paulding County, Georgia, daughter of the late Wilburn J. Cantrell and Eulla Myrtle Griffith Cantrell. She was a Homemaker and member of the Dallas Church of God. Survivors include her sister, Lois Hagan of Dallas; brother, Clay Cantrell of Coolidge, GA; sister-in-law, Genell Cantrell of Dallas; step-children, Marie Tuck of Alabama, Elsie Banlaw of Thomaston, GA, and Lloyd Gamblin of Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, great-great-great-nephews, and many other beloved family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Wilburn J. and Eulla Cantrell, she was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Mr. Lemon Mayfield; husband of many years, Mr. J. B. "Tommy" Gamblin. Funeral Services were conducted on Saturday, May 28, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. Darrin Cochran officiating. Special music was rendered by Jeff Eberhart, Becky Bearden and Brenda Robinson. A Eulogy was given by Brenda Robinson. Interment followed in Dallas Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were George Mayfield, Willie Mayfield, Donald Mayfield, Dwayne Cantrell, Hugh Mayfield, and David Evans. Arrangements by Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home.
