Mr. Herbert Cecil Gamel, Jr. Passes

Mr. Hubert Cecil Gamel, Jr., age 50, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away April 28, 
2005 at his residence.

Mr. Gamel was born September 20, 1954 in Paulding County, Georgia, son of 
Eloyce Marks Gamel and the late Herbert C. Gamel, Sr. He was a member of First 
Baptist Church of Dallas and retired from the State of Georgia Highway 
Department.

Survivors include his wife of 6 years, Mrs. Dianne Thomas Gamel, having been 
married on February 2, 1999; sons, Mark Paul Gamel of Dallas and Mr. and Mrs. 
Thomas James (Jill) Gamel of Hiram; daughter, Holly Lynn Gamel of Dallas; step-
son, Kendall and Lynn Lawrence of Dallas; step-daughter, Letisha Lynn Cagle of 
Mableton; mother, Mrs. Eloyce M. Gamel of Dallas; mother-in-law, Mrs. Ruth 
Thomas of Tallulah, Louis-iana; ten grandchildren; one great-grandson; several 
nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Herbert Cecil Gamel, Sr.

Funeral Services were held on Sunday, May 1, 2005 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Johnny 
Hightower officiating. Special music was rendered by Mr. Tony Harris.

Interment followed in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were 
Robert Sizemore, Hugh Thomas, Danny Pugh, Donnie Pugh, Jimmy Watts, and Jerome 
Johns.

Benson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
