Mrs. Gilreath was born May 22, 1911 in Cobb County, Georgia, daughter of the late Thomas J. and Elizabeth (Tibbitts) Proctor. She was a member of Yorkville Baptist Church. She worked in the Textile Industry and was a Homemaker. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Frances Hicks of Rockmart, Mr. and Mrs. Lamar (Faye) Walraven of Cedartown and Mr. and Mrs. Pledger L. (Ruby) Moody of Rockmart; two sisters, Mrs. Jewell Sosebee of Austell and Mr. and Mrs. Bill (Anne) Davis of Marietta; step-sister, Mr. and Mrs. James (Maudie) Elders of Rockmart; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great- grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Thomas J. and Elizabeth Proctor, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Willie E. “Enlow” Gilreath, having been married on June 29, 1930; he passed away October 1, 1993. Funeral Services were held on Friday, July 1, 2005 from Benson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Andy Fennell officiating. Special music was rendered by Greg Walker accompanied by Charles Cole at the piano. Interment followed in Yorkville Cemetery with Kenneth Hicks, Dennis Hicks, Micky Hicks, Joel Hicks, Edwin Walraven, and Dennis Moody serving as pallbearers.
