Charles Hardin, 70, Baptist minister for 26 years died at the home of his son, Raymond, in Austell, near Atlanta Ga. At midnight May 8, 1936, following a stroke of paralysis. Rev. Hardin was also the father of Mrs. Marvin Hogwood of Bridgeport, Snowden Hardin of Chattanooga and Lee Hardin. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 P. M. Sunday at the Old Community Church of Pouldin County, Ga. and burial was In Shady Grove cemetery nearby. The Loyd Undertaking Co. Bridgeport was in charge. An unusual and significant feature of the service was the fact that seven Baptist ministers all of whom were converted under the preaching of the Rev. Hardin participated. A large concourse of associates, friends, and relatives were present attesting the high esteem in which this good man was held.
