She was born June 19, 1932 the daughter of the late William and Pauline McConnell. She was a homemaker and of the United Pentecostal Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert “Gil” Austin Johnson and her daughter, Janet Johnson Cole. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Lamar and Greta Johnson of Thomaston, Reverend Larry and Dorine Johnson of Ballground, LaVaughn and Donna Johnson of Dallas and Lorne and Rebecca Johnson of Temple; daughters and sons- in-law, Nancy and Reverend Jimmy Driskell of Aragon, Lola and Reverend Ken Formby of Villa Rica and Sandra Johnson Jones of Williamson, Georgia; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Davis of Flomaton, Alabama and Quida and Tom Starbuck of Mechanicsville, Maryland; 25 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services were conducted on Monday, March 28, 2005 at 11 a.m. from Clark Funeral Home with Reverends Larry Johnson, Ken Formby and Jimmy Driskell officiating. Interment followed in Paulding Memorial Gardens. Clark Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
