Mr. Clyde Thomas Johnston Passes

Mr. Clyde Thomas Johnston, age 80, of Dallas, Georgia passed away October 21, 
2004 at WellStar Cobb Hospital.

Mr. Johnston was born July 26, 1924, son of the late James Fredrick and Martha 
Lou (Miller) Johnston. He was a member of New Georgia Baptist Church and 
worked as a Shipping Clerk/Cabinet Manufacturing.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Reba (Garner-Brown) Johnston of Dallas; son, 
Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy (Joan) Johnston of Hiram; daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie 
(Irene) Carter of Dallas; grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Mike (Angie) Johnston of 
Dallas, Mr. and Mrs. Shane (Brandy) Carter of Hiram, and Mr. and Mrs. Jason 
(Khristy) Johnston of Dallas; great-grandchild, Ms. Kelsey Johnston of Dallas; 
step-children, Mr. and Mrs. Waiteel (Shelby) Turner of Douglasville, Mr. and 
Mrs. Gene (Jane) Robinson of Dallas, Ms. Mary Ann Brown of Villa Rica, Mr. and 
Mrs. Fred (Annette) Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Larry (Cathy) Brown, all of Dallas; 
15 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; 5 step-great-great-
grandchildren’ 4 step-great-great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and 
nephews.

In addition to his parents, James and Martha Johnston, he was preceded in 
death by his wife of many years, Mrs Adell (Furr) Johnston, who passed away in 
December 1989.

Funeral Services were conducted on Saturday, October 23, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. in 
the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. James R. Burdette and Rev. 
Billy Bell officiating. Special music was rendered by Fonda Beavers, Willard 
Walker and Becky Bearden.

Interment followed in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearrers were 
Michael Johnston, Jason Johnston, Shane Carter, Darrell Turner, Chris Brown, 
Casey Wade.
