Services Held for Mrs. Irma Ruth Knight Evans

Mrs. Irma Ruth (Knight) Evans of Marietta, Georgia, age 80, passed away August 
15, 2006 at her residence.

Mrs. Evans was born August 2, 1926 in Paulding County, Georgia, daughter of the 
late William Tim and Alma Cole. She was a member of White Oak Springs Baptist 
Church and owned a Grocery Store.

Survivors include her daughters, Mr. and Mrs. James (Katrina) Lee of Rockmart, 
Mr. and Mrs. Harry (Janice) House of Mableton and Mrs. Tracy Driver of 
Marietta; son, Mr. and Mrs. Carl (Suzanne) Knight of Marietta; sisters, Mr. and 
Mrs. C. Wyatt (Edna) Lee of Austell, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. "Jack" (Reba) Ellison 
of Greensboro, GA,  and Mr. and Mrs. Roger (Alta Faye "Tiny") Sauls of Dallas; 
sister-in-law, Mrs. Audie Cole Howard of Dallas; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-
grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, William and Alma Cole, she was preceded in death by 
her husband, Mr. John C. Knight, who passed away in 1962; a sister, Mrs. Lola 
Frances Baxter and brothers, Mr. J. Ray Cole, Mr. Herman Cole and Mr. Ralph 
Cole.

Funeral Services were held on Thursday, August 17, 2006 at 2:00 PM in Benson 
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hugh Parsons and Rev. Andy Cunningham 
officiating. Special music was provided by Charles Cole, FeFe Lollis and Joy 
Carroll.

Interment followed in White Oak Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Tony 
Massengale, Adam House, Justin House, Gene Royer, Ryan Driver, and Allen Sauls 
serving as pallbearers.

Benson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
