Mrs. Leonard was born May 29, 1909 in Alabama, daughter of the late Charlie and Rosie Lee (Bennett) Bynum. She was a Homemaker and member of Friendship Holliness Church. Survivors include four daughters, Katie Hamilton of Florida, Esta Johnson of Villa Rica, Vera Worthington of Cedartown, and Bonnie Cochran of Villa Rica; two sons, Earl Leonard of Alabama and Glenn Leonard of Villa Rica; 31 grandchildren; 82 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren and two sisters, Della Johnson and Esther Couch, both of Alabama. In addition to her parents, Charlie and Rosie Lee (Bennett) Bynum, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr Hugh Adolphus Leonard’ son Homer Leonard who passed away in 2002, and brother Earl Bynum in 1935. Services were conducted on Friday, October 22, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. Horace Cohran and Rev. Leonard Alexander officiating. Interment followed in Powder Springs City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Cody Perien, Nicholas Cohran, Dustin Brown, Bobby McCleary, Nicholas Leonard and Michael Vick.
