William McCard Killed in Fight. 

Villa Rica, Ga. May 12. News has just been received here that William McCard, 
a prominent farmer of Sadie, Paulding county, was killed this afternoon by 
Grover and Grady Cooper. It is reported that two shots were fired by Mr. 
McCard, dangerously wounding both Cooper boys, who then cut his throat. He 
died in a few minutes. The cause of the trouble has not been learned. Mr. 
McCard was 35 years old and is survived by his wife and three children and six 
brothers. Grady and Grover are the sons of Tom Cooper, also of Paulding 
county, aged 24 and 22, respectively.
