McNabb Passes Away Aug. 16, 2004 Mr. Don L. McNabb, age 64, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on August 16, 2004 at WellStar Paulding Hospital. He was born June 7, 1940 in Angola, Indiana the son of the late Bert and Josie McNabb. He was a self-employed painting contractor. He had been retired since 1997. He was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include his wife of 7 years and 7 months, Betty J. Griffin-McNabb of Dallas; two sons, Kelly and Melissa Carter and Jeff and Penny Carter, both of Coldwater, MI; one step-daughter, Debra and Paul Morgan of Dallas; two step- sons,, Allen and Lynn Griffin and Rick and Tara Griffin, both of Dallas; seven step-grandchildren, one great-grandson all of Dallas; five sisters-in-law, Elsie McNabb and Leona McNabb, both of Lagrange, In, Jeanette Prather, Judie and Ed Russell and Joan and Doy Defoor, all of Dallas; 5 brothers-in-law, Richard Rogers of White pigeon, Mich., Jerry and Ann Parks of Cartersville, Chester and Glenda Parks of Powder Springs, Wayne and Reita Parks of Dallas, and Eddie and Mona Parks of Hiram; special nieces, Ranah and Mark Harmon of Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Bertha Rogers and Mary Ferrier of Indiana; 4 brothers, James, Billy, Bob and Merle McNabb; father-in- law and mother-in-law, Clarence and Gladys Parks. Funeral Services were held at 4 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 2004 in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Reverend Rick Russell officiating. Music was rendered by Lynn Griffin and Cathy Carroll. Interment followed in New Hope Cemetery with Joseph Griffin, Ben Griffin, Brandon Griffin, Rick griffin, Duwayne Prather, and Jerry Parks serving as pallbearers. Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
