Mr. James R. Moon, age 72, of East Point, Georgia, passed away April 29, 2004 
at Emory Healthcare Hospital.

Mr. Moon was born February 11,1 932 in Talladega, Alabama, son of the late 
Leroy and Laura Lee (McClain) Moon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and 
a member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife of more than 27 years, Mrs. Louisa P. Moon; three 
daughters, Miss. Laura Lee Moon of East Point, Mrs. Patricia Lynn Wheeler of 
Pawleys Island, South Carolina and Mrs. Barbara Howard Hammock of 
Lawrenceville; one son, James Howard Moon; sister, Mrs. Emma Carter of Villa 
Rica and one brother, Mr. Roy Moon of Cedartown..

In addition to his parents, Leroy and Laura Lee Moon, he was preceded in death 
by his brother, John Moon and three sisters, Mrs. Nora M. Sims, Mrs. Jeanette 
McGowean and Mrs. Nellie Carroll.

Funeral services were held on Monday, May 3, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. 
Darrell Hunter officiating. Special music was rendered by Mr. Tony Harris.

Interment followed in Draketown Baptist Church Cemetery.

Benson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
