Paulding New Era, April 19, 1883 
William Carter, infant son and only child of W.F. and Ella Palmer, died last 
Wednesday and was buried at Nebo church Thursday.  The funeral services were 
conducted in a very silent and impressive manner by Rev. M.D. Notton.  The 
deceased was a promising child but death entered the family abode and nipped 
the flower in its bud.
