The Paulding New Era, June 27, 1884
Death of William Parris.  Mr. William Parris died in Arkansas on the 13th of 
this month.  He was born and raised in California District, and moved to 
Arkansas about five years ago.  I got a letter from his wife stating the fact 
of his death.  He was confined six weeks to his bed.  Died of heart dropsy.  
His wife wrote that he stated on his death bed that he was prepared to meet 
his God, and ready to die.  

He leaves a wife and five children living, and five dead.  He has a large 
circle of relatives and friends in this and adjoining counties, and also in 
Alabama.  P.
