The Dallas New Era, Dallas, Georgia, Thursday, August 19, 2004
Mr. Stephen Smith, age 50 of Villa Rica, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2004 
at the WellStar Tranquility Hospice in Austell, Georgia. He was born July 7, 
1954 in Hamden, Indiana the son of Carl J. Smith and the late Sara McQueen 
Smith. He was a welder.

He was preceded in death by his mother and sister, Diane Smith.

Surviving are his daughter, Xantippe Matthews of Milbrook, Alabama; one 
granddaughter; his father, Carl J. Smith of Prattville, Alabama; his brothers, 
Jerry Smith of Wetumpka, Alabama and Ray Smith of Prattville, Alabama; 
sisters, Gina Smith and Paula ?Smith both of Peachtree City, Georgia.

Funeral services were held on Friday, August 13, 2004 at 12 noon at Union 
Congregational Christian Church in Marbury, Alabama with Reverend Burks Crane 
officiating.

Interment followed in Union Congregational Christian Church Cemetery.

Clark Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
