Mrs. Marie Butler Voyles, age 77, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 1999, at her residence following declining health beginning in July 1998. She was born on September 7, 1921, in Paulding County, Georgia, and she was a life-long resident of Paulding County, Georgia. She was the daugther of the late Mr. Joseph E. Butler and the late Mrs. Cora Buford Butler. She was a member of Pumpkinsville Baptist Church and was a Homemaker. For the last several years she was doing Hospice Type Work with the Elderly or Terminally ill. Surviving are her daughter, Vickie Golden, wife of Billy E. Golden, of Dallas, Georgia; four sons: Mr. Larry Voyles, husband of Neilda Voyles, of Dallas, Georgia; Mr. Terry Voyles, husband of Brenda Voyles of Dallas, Georgia; Mr. Steve Voyles, husband of Brenda Voyles, of Dallas, Georgia; Mr. W. Don Voyles, husband of Jennie Voyles, of Rockmart, Georgia; one sister, Mrs. Lucille Hulsey of Tampa, Florida; one brother, the Rev. Wiley B. Butler, husband of Nancy Butler, of Dallas, Georgia. Three sister-in-laws: Mrs. Savannah Butler of Dallas, Georgia; Mrs. Geneva G. Butler, of Dallas, Georgia and Mrs. Tamer Phillips of Hiram, Georgia. 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by: 1) her parents, the said Joseph E. Butler and Cora (Buford) Butler; 2) her husband, Mr. Willard H. Voyles, who died on February 28, 1993. She had been married to her husband for 55 years prior to his death. The date of their marriage was October 16, 1937. 3) Her daugher, Sonya Delores Voyles; 4) Her sister, Mrs. Betty Jo Cason; 5) Her brother, Mr. Alfred A. Butler; 6) Her brother, Mr. Ernest Butler; 7) Her brother, the Rev. Lewis Butler; 8) Her brother, the Rev. George C. Butler; 9) Her brother, the Rev. Lee Butler; 10) Her brother, the Rev. Howard Butler. Funeral services were held on Sunday, February 14, 1999, at 2:00 o'clock p.m. at the Pumpkinvine Baptist Church. The Rev. Thomas Cole, the Rev. James "Jim" Barfield, and the Rev. J. E. Wix all were officiating at the services. Mr. Howell Thomason and Ms. Donna Clay provided the music to the services assisted by Mr. Jeff Dodd on the Harmonica. Burial services were held in the Gann Cemetery. Pallbearers for the deceased were her grandsons: Brian Voyles, Chris Voyles, Mark Voyles, Allen Voyles, Scott Voyles, Todd Voyles, Jeff Voyles and Jason Voyles. The granddauthers and great-grandchildren all served as honorary escorts at the service, which included Miss Teri Golden, Mrs. Cindi Barron, Cassie Barron, Matt Barron, Casey Voyles, Caitlin Voyles, Miss Sonya Golden, Tyler Voyles, Taylor Voyles, Chase Voyles, Alex Voyles, Brennan Voyles and Mrs. Mitzi V.
