Photo of Matthew Marion Womack and second wife, Mary Mote Womack. Son of 
Thomas J. and Esther Womack. Daughter of William and Mary Mote. Matthew was a 
Civil War Veteran fighting for the side of the Confederacy. He and Mary are 
buried in Floyd County, Georgia at Pleasant Hope Baptist Church. He was born 
26 Jan 1838 in Stewart County, Georgia. Mary was born 12 Apr 1855 in either 
Cobb or Paulding County, Georgia.
