HARDISON BAPTIST CHURCH

George W. Thames married Sarah "Sallie" Hardison in Crawford Co. GA on 16 January 1844 when he was 21 years old.  Sallie's parents were Jasper Frederick and Margaret "Peggy" (Watson) Hardison  who came to Georgia from Tyrell Co., NC, first settling in Washington Co., GA.  Hardison Baptist Church in Peach Co., GA is named for this family who gave the land it is built on.
