                             James Lewis Barker, Sr.
-FORT VALLEY - James Lewis Barker, Sr., 65, died February 5, 2002. Services: 
2P.M. Friday, February 8, 2002 at Chamlee Memorial Baptist Church with burial 
in Oaklawn Cemetery. Dr. Robert Bowman will officiate. -Native of Peach Co.; 
served in the US Army; member of Chamlee Memorial Baptist Church; retired 
supervisor with Armstrong World Industries. -Son of the late Joe and Mary 
Lizzie Barker, he is survived by wife, Shelvie Barker of Fort Valley; 
children, Jim and Karen Barker of Valdosta; Joe and Cindy Barker of 
Centerville; 4 brothers, Willie Joe Barker of Fort Valley, Johnny Barker and 
Frank Barker of Byron, Gene Barker of Athens; 8 grandchildren. -Memorials may 
be made to Hospice of Central Georgia, P.O. Box 6533, Macon, GA 31208. -The 
family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00P.M. Thursday at Rooks Funeral 
Home in Fort Valley. -Rooks Funeral Home in Fort Valley has charge of 
arrangements.
