Fort Valley - Mary Janice Stafford Jones, age 71, died Monday, February 13, 
2006.  Born in Oglethorpe, Ga., she was a homemaker and a member of Bakerfield 
Baptist Church in Byromville.  She was preceeded  in death by her husband, 
Noble Stafford, Sr. and two daughters, Betty Ganas and Geraldine Winters.    
Survivors include her husband Leroy Jones; four children, Martha Roberts of 
Fort Valley, Robert Stafford of Fort Valley, Noble Stafford, Jr. of Edenton, 
NC and Samuel Stafford of Edenton, NC; two sisters, Johnnie Lee Jones of 
Albany and Dorothy Sikes, Virginia Beach, VA; twenty-two grandchildren; forty-
six great grandchildren and nine great  grandchildren.  The family will 
receive friends at Rooks Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, 
February 15 and may be contacted at the residence of Martha Roberts, 1238 
Cleveland Road, Fort Valley.    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, 
February 16 in the chapel of Rooks Funeral Home with burial in Oaklawn 
Cemetery.

Additional Comments:
I believe the "nine great grandchildren" should be great grant children.
