Graveside services will be 11A.M., Friday, November 28, 2003 in Oaklawn Cemetery. -Mr. Britt was retired from the US Navy and served in WWII and Korea. He was a member of VFW Post 6605, American Legion #172, was past President of Fleet Reserve, a Scottish Rite Mason, a member of the Middle Georgia Honor Guard and the Military Order of Cootie's. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Frances Mason Britt. -Survivors include his daughter, Jacqueline B. Davenport of Spanish Fort, AL and Lynda C. Hedge of Bon Secour, AL; three granddaughters; one great granddaughter; sisters, Verlin Yaughn of Macon, Jewell Dixon of Boise City, TX and Era Frances Palermo of Dickson, TX. -In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Military Order of Cootie's. -The family will receive friends at 10A.M. Friday, November 28 at Rooks Funeral Home in Fort Valley. -Rooks Funeral Home in Fort Valley has charge of arrangements. Published in The Telegraph on 11/27/2003.
