  Deed from        This indenture made this third day of
J.M. Bedford      Feburary in the year of our lord eighteen
Alford Smith       hundred and fifty nine between Jonas M.
Tho. Hutchinson    Bedford & Alford Smith of the county &
Feb 7, 13, 2       State aforsaid & Thomas Hutchison of the 
                   County of Cherokee and state aforsaid
of the one part and Levi Yancy Sr. of the same place 
of the other part wittnesseththat the said Jonas M 
Bedford and Alford Smith & Thomas Hutchinson for and 
in consideration of the sum of five hundred and
fifty dollars (illigable) in hand paid as and before the 
sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt
wherefore hearby acknowledges hath granted bargained
bargained sell and convey unto the said Levi Yancy sen.
his heirs and assignsall that tract or parcel of 
land situated lying and being in the thirteenth district
of the county of Pickens known and distinguished 
in the plan of said districtby the number of seven
and second section containing containing one hundred
and sixty acers more or less with all the rights
members and apputenances therinto belonging
to have and to holdthe afore described lot of land
unto him the said Levi Yancy Senr. his heirs and assigns
togeather with all the rights members and apputnances 
of said lot of land in any wise belonging to his and
their own proper use benifit and behoof forever
in fee simple.
And the said Jonas M Bedford & Alford Smith
& Thomas Hutchinson for themselves (illigable) heirs exeuctors
and administrators the said bargained premesis togeather 
with the right title and purposes thereof unto the said
Levi Yancy Senr. his heirs and assigns will warrant 
and forever defend the rights and title thereof against
themselves and against the claims of all other persons
whatever.
In testimony whereof the said Jonas M. Bedford Alford
Smith & Thomas Hutchinson have herento set theit hand
and fixed their seals the day and year first above 
mentioned syned sealed and delivered in presence of
