This indenture made this the 9th day of January 1890 between George Pack and W. J. Pack and Sarah Pack of second part all of the state and county aforesaid. Witness that the said George Pack for and in consideration of an agreement and contract between himself and W. J. Pack and Sarah Pack, And I George Pack agree to give to the W. J. & Sarah Pack all of my rail and personal property (can’t read several words –household & ? furniture??) to take care of me during my natural life and I give the said W. J. Pack & Sarah Pack full control of all the above named property to manage as they see fit to make a living for us all and after my death to divide what is left between themselves, and the said W. J. & Sarah Pack (can’t read several words—know themselves?) to take care of the said George Pack during his natural life, furnish him food and clothing and medical aid all in Christian like manner to receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged does hereby give and convey unto the said W. J. & Sarah Pack their heirs and assigns certain parcels of lots of land lying in the 24 Dist. Second section (2) in the county aforesaid. South half of lot no. 298 Eighty acres more or less also fifty acres of lot no. 299 on the north side of said lot lying in the 24 Dist. And (2) of said county also part of lot no. 270 forty acres more or less lying in the southeast corner of said lot being in 24 Dist. (2) and together with all rights and privileges thereunto belonging in fee simple and the said George Pack his heirs, executors and administrators the title to the premises aforesaid will forever warrant and ? to the said W. J. & Sarah Pack their heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all other persons. In witness whereof the said George Pack has hereunto set his hand and seal the day aforesaid. George Pack (by mark) Recorded May 22, 1890 Additional Comments: Pickens County Superior Court Deeds & Mortgages 1888-1892 Volume H. pg. 441 George Marion Pack, Sr, b. about 1818 disappears from Pickens Co. records after this agreement. It is thought that he died within the year but no proof has been found yet. George had a son W. J. and daughter Sarah. It is unknown at this time if the Sarah in this agreement is the daughter.
