State of Georgia. Pickens Co. This indenture made this the 9th day of January 
1890 between George Pack and W. J. Pack both of the county and state 
aforesaid.  Witness that the said George Pack for and in consideration of the 
sum of Eighty dollars the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged does hereby 
sell and convey unto the said W. J. Pack, his heirs and assigns a certain 
tract or part of land lot situated in the county aforesaid lying in the 24 
District and second (2) section being the southwest half of lot number 298 ?
running? with a big road from George Pack house to the original line of said 
lot of land Eighty acres more or less together with all rights and privileges 
thereunto belonging in fee simple and the said George Pack his heirs, 
executors and administrators the title to the premises aforesaid will forever 
warrant and ? to the said W. J. Pack his heirs and assigns against the lawful 
claims of all other persons.  In witness whereof the said George Pack has 
hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year aforesaid. Signed sealed and 
delivered in presence of E N.. Carlin, Silvanium Hammick N. P.  George Pack 
(his mark) Recorded May 22, 1890

George Marion Pack, Sr., b. about 1818 in North Carolina had a son W. J. Pack 
of Pickens Co.  George Pack disappears from county records after this 
agreement and is thought to have died within the year.  However no proof of 
his death has been found yet.
