State of Georgia Pickens County this Indenture made this fifteenth day of 
August Eighteen hundred and Sixty Three between Jeremiah Sosebee of Pickens 
County and State of Georgia of the one part and James M Lining of the other 
part witneseth that the Said Jeremiah Sosebee for and in Consideration of the 
Sum of two hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid at and before the 
Sealing and delivery of others presants the receipt whereof is herby 
acknolledged hadth granted bargand sold and conveyed and do by others 
preasants grant bargain sell and convey unto the said James M Linning his 
heirs and assigns that tract or parsel of Land Situated Lying and being in the 
County of Pickens being Seven and three fourths acres of Lot of Land Number 
Three hundred and Seven in the twelfth district and Second Section the Said 
Seven and Three fourths acres joining B F Harris in the East and Hall and Lay 
on the North and B H Johnson on the South and the town Lots on the west being 
the place where on Jeremiah Sosebee lived being now by presant marked boundrys 
to have and to hold said tract or parcel of Land unto him the Said James M 
Lening his heirs and assigns together with all and singlar the rights members 
and appertances thereof to the same in any manor belonging to him and the own 
proper use benefit and behoof forces in fee simple and the said Jeremiah 
Sosebee for him self his heirs Executors and Administrators the said bargained 
premises unto the said James M Lening his heirs and assigns Will Warrant and 
forever defend the right and title thereof against them selves and against the 
Claim of all other persons whatever in witness wherof the Said Jeremiah 
Sosebee hath hereunto Set his hand and affixt his Seal the day and year above 
wrighten Sign Sealed and delivers in the preasants of
