Georgia Fulton County
This indenture made and entered into this the fifteenth day of April in the 
year of our Lord one thousand eighteen(?) hundred and fifty six between 
William Gibson of the one part of the county of Fulton and state aforesaid and 
James McGahah of the other part of the county of Pickens and state of Georgia  
Witnesseth that the said Wm. Gibson for and in consideration of the sum of 
forty dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of 
these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargined sold 
and does by these presents grant bargin sell and convey unto the said McGahah 
a cetain tract or parcel of (?) and situate lying and being in the (5)th 
district (2) section of Pickens County known and distinguished in the plan of 
said district and section by Lot No(177) one hundred & seventy seven 
containing (160) one hundred & sixty acres be the same more or less to have 
and to hold said tract or parcel of land unto McGahah his heirs and assigns in 
any manner belonging to their own proper use benefit behoof forever in fee 
simple and the said William Gibson does warrant and forever defend the right 
and title thereof against himself and against the claims of all other persons 
whatever
In testimony whereof the said Gibson has hereunto set his hand and affixed his 
seal the day and year first above written ???????  before assigned
