On the 20th inst., Mr. Van Bryant, at his home in Pickens county, and was buried in Forsyth county, the home of his child hood. He was about 37 years old, left a wife and three small children to battle life without his aid. Mr. Bryant was a brother of Mrs. M. A. Keith of our community, and was much loved by the family. He united with the Baptist church in 1872, lived a faithful pious member and died as conqueror over the grave. The "light of God" drove every cloud away from the dark valley. Besides his sorrowing wife and little ones, he leaves one brother and six sisters to mourn over the sad separation. Mr. Bryant stood high among his neighbors and in his county. He remained sick at M. A. Keith's about a month, a little while before he died. Our deep sympathies are with his bereaved friends.
