We learn that the dwelling of Jas. Cochran, at Talking Rock in Pickens county 
Ga., was burned down last Saturday with his mother, who was 87 years old, in 
it.   His mother was there alone when the fire caught from the stove and being 
too feeble to put it out or get out of the house herself she was burned with 
the house before any one could reach her.  Mr. Cochran, we think, moved from 
this county there there (sic) about one year ago.  We deeply sympathise (sic)  
with him and other sorrowing ones.
