Cherokee Advance, May 8, 1885
Mr. James Haley died of dropsy at the residence of Mr. Geroge Chamblee on the 
15th (ult) in Pickens County.  He was bron in Franklin County, Georgia in 
April, 1805.  He joined the Methodist church when quite young and had been a 
faithful and earnest member throughout life.
