Tate, aged one year. Little hands close folded Never shall clasp again; Watch not for their moving, Thou will look in vain. Blue eyes hid forever, Neath their waxen veil, Marble lips like cresent (sic), -- Snowy white and pale. So calm was every feature, It seems he must but sleep, Til that sleep shall know no waking, When the dead rise from the deep. Then grieve not loving father A crown adorns his brow And weep not tender mother For Earl is an angel now. A Friend.
