Jasper, Ga., January 6- Dr. W. B. Tate died at his home at Tate, Ga., this morning at 3 o'clock. Dr. Tate had been in bad health to several months, his death, however, was not expected and was a great shock to his host of friends. He is survived by his wife and five children. Mrs. Tate was Miss Jennie Hart of Union Point, Ga.; one brother, ex-Congressman F. C. Tate, of Jasper, Ga., and three sisters, Mrs. Holland, of Marietta; Mrs. Cole, of Newnan, and Mrs. Rambo, of Brazil, South America. Dr. Tate was 57 years of age and one of the most prominent men in this part of the state, a noted physician and considered one of the wealthiest men of north Georgia. He never held political office and never aspired to any. He was chairman of the democratic executive committee of this county and trustee of the Ninth District Agricultural school, of Clarksville, Ga. Funeral will be held tomorrow noon.
