Special to The Evening Consstitution. Colonel W. M. Tate, father of Congressman Carter Tate, and joint owner of the Georgia marble beds with his brother, Colonel Steve Tate, died suddenly at his home this morning about 6 o'clock. His death occurred as he was rising from his bed. The works shut down immediately in respect to his memory.
