I. Summerall, Ordinary of said County; the petition of R. G. O’Berry respectfully shows; 1st That Nora Lee O’Berry is his granddaughter and that she is under twelve years of age. 2nd That its mother, Lettie O’Berry has subsequently being the survivor of Ryan F. O’Berry has since inter-married with one Elias Howell. That the said Lettie O’Berry Howell is the duly appointed guardian of said Nora Lee O’Berry. 3rd That on account of the surroundings of said child, consisting of neglect on the part of its parent and the lewdness or its com-panions and the vicious habits of the person with whom it is forced to live, that said child is in eminent danger of being permanently degraded, 4th That its environments of said child are immoral, indecent and likely to degrade its moral character and devote it to a vicious life. 5th That said child and said Lettie O’Berry Howell, are citizens of said County of Pierce. Wherefore, petitioner prays that your Honor grant the writ of Habeas Corpus, requiring the said Lettie O’Berry Howell to bring the said Nora Lee O’Berry before you at a time and place to be specified in the writ for the purpose of an examination into the detention and the grant of such order as will protect the morale of said child. GEORGIA - PIERCE COUNTY I have this day served the within writ of HABEAS CORPUS upon Lettie O’Berry Howell, by delivering a copy thereof to her personally. O’Berry is appearing to the court which the parties to the suit has made settlement by Defendant turning over to Plaintiff R. G. O’Berry the child in question and the said O’Berry being a fit and proper person to take charge of and care for her. It is ordered by the court, that for harmed said child, until she has reached the age of 21 years. J. I. Summerall Ordinary, Pierce Co. Personally comes R. G.
