Services Held for Mrs. Blount, 85

     Funeral services for Mrs. Maggie Chancey Blount, 85, were held Saturday
afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Ben James Primitive Baptist Church in Pierce
county with Rev.C.A. Barfield of Waycross officiating. Interment was in the
church cemetery.
     Mrs. Blount was born in Ware County and for many years was a faithful
member of the First Penecoastal Church. She died early Thursday morning at the
home of her son, C.B. Blount, in Pierce county after an extended illness.
     Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. T.O. Wiggins and Mrs. F.L. Dean, of
Blackshear; four sons, N.C. Blount of Miami, M.M. Blount of Waycross, C.B.
Blount of Blackshear and H.D. Blount of Gadsen, Ala.
     Pallbearers were Charles Blount, Earl Dean, M.M. Blount Jr., M.J. Wiggins,
Horace Blount, and J.B. Blount.
     Darling Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
