CRUMP BRISTOLL--Herschel Charles Crump, 74, died Saturday at the Veterans Administration medical center in Augusta after a brief illness. He was a Gilmer County native but made his home in Pierce County most of his life. He was a former store owner and operator and was employed in the laundry department of Memorial Hospital, Waycross for many years. He was a member of Bristol Baptist Church and the Men's Sunday School Class and was an Army veteran of World War II. His parents were James Madison Crump and Estelle Crosby Crump. Survivors are his wife, Flora Belle Crosby Crump, Bristol; two daughters, Martha Thornton, Bristol, and Mary Tyre, Waycross; a stepdaughter, Mrs. E'dora Crump, Bristol; a stepson, Franklin Boatright, Bristol; three sisters, Mrs. Arnold Crosby, Bristol, Mrs. James O'Connel, Patterson, and Mrs. J.L. Bennett Jr., Mershon. two brothers, Ralph Crump, Auburn, Calif., and Ivey M. Crump, Yulee, Fla., 13 grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren and several other relatives. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bristol Baptist Church with the Rev. Fred Herrin and the Rev. Timmy Hall officiating. The body will be placed in the church at p.m. Burial will be at the Bristol Cemetery.
