She was a native of Pierce and was the daughter of Silas O'Steen and Elizabeth Lastinger O'Steen. Survivors include her husband, C.C. Peacock; three step-daughters, Mrs. Willa Mae Kicklighter, Blackshear, Mrs. Lucille Strickland, Hollywood, FL, and Mrs. O.C. Fountain, Gordon, GA; three step-sons, Luther M. Peacock, P.D. Peacock, and C.C. Peacock Jr., all of Blackshear; five sisters, Miss Kate O'Steen, Miss Ida O'Steen, Mrs. Jerry Thornton, Mrs. Emma Culver, and Mrs. Elizabeth Erdmier, all of Blackshear; four brothers, John O'Steen, W.L. O'Steen, Tom O'Steen and J.W. O'Steen, all of Blackshear; 22 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 11 at the Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Church cemetery. Darling Funeral Home is in charge. BLACKSHEAR - Funeral services for Mrs. Lara Bell Peacock were held Sunday morning in the Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church with the Elder Elton Dowling officiating. Pall bearers were Doys O'Steen, Wayne Culver, Dudley Thomson, Randy Erdmier, David Peacock, W.L. Peacock and Edison Kicklighter. Burial was in the church cemetery.
