Clayton Davis, the Rev. Franklin Peacock and the Rev. Monroe Barnard officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery. There will be visitation tonight from 7 until 9 o'clock at Pearson-Treadwell Funeral Home. She died late Wednesday evening (03/13/2002) at Baptist Village in Waycross. A native and lifelong resident of Pierce County, she was a member of the Eastern Star and of Pine Grove Baptist Church and the Women's Sunday School Class. She had worked as a certified nurse's assistant at the Pierce County Nursing Home. Her husband, the Rev. Luther Peacock, died in 1992. Her parents were Lemuel and Gaynell Harris Johnson. She is survived by two daughters, Gwen Barber (husband Bill) of Blackshear and Sue Sapp (friend Charles Davis) of Waycross; three sons and daughter-in-law, William "Dub" and Wanda Peacock of Millwood, Demory and Chan Peacock and Wray and Kay Peacock, all of Blackshear; two sisters, Mrs. Juanita Smith of St. Marys and Mrs. Bertie Shuman of Blackshear; a brother, William Johnson of Blackshear; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Pallbearers were Brian Peacock, Ben Peacock, Bill Peacock, Matt Barber, Perry Barber and Michael Thomas.
