Burial will be in the Ben James Cemetery. There will be visitation at the funeral home tonight from 7 until 9 o'clock. She died Sunday evening (Oct. 13, 2002) at Satilla Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born in Pierce County but resided in Waycross most of her life. She was one of the founders of the Hebardville Sewing Circle and also a member of Pythian Sisters chapter 5 and Jamestown Baptist Church and its Golden Age Sunday School Class. She had been a homemaker and was also a retiree from the Mary Kay Dress Shop at Fernadina Beach. She was the widow of Claude Waco Nunez and daughter of Wilson Joseph and Mindie Viola Peacock Mock. Also preceeding her in death were a son, J.C. Mock; a grandson, Edward Nunez; a sister, Mary Thrift, and a daughter-in-law, Cleo Nunez. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Olen Dixon of Palm Harbor, FL, Nelda and Walter Austin of Fernadina Beach, FL, and Claudine and Robert Newton of Jacksonville, FL; two sons, Clyde Nunez of Jesup and James Nunez of Yulee, FL; a sister, Rachel Davis of Nicholls; a brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Virginia Mock of Waycross; a daughter-in-law, Audrey R. Mock of Blackshear; 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
