Harrison Blackshear-Mrs Cora Sweat Harrison, 88, died Saturday morning after an illness of several months. A native of the Walkerville section of Pierce County, she had lived with a daughter Laverne H. Smith in Blackshear for the past 18 years. She was the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. Thomas N. Sweat and the widow of James W. Harrison. She was the oldest member of the Alabaha Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Laverne H. Smith and Mrs. Murell Allen of Blackshear, Mrs Mable Barnes of Jacksonville, Fla, Mrs Irene Cason of Savannah; seven sons, Repard Harrison of Jasper, Fla, Willie Harrison of Jacksonville, Talmadge Harrison of Patterson, Ferman E., Dennis, Elmer, and Samuel Harrison of Blackshear; three sisters, Mrs. Mona Deloach and Mrs. Cleo Paulk of Jacksonville, Mrs. Jennie Delk of Holly Hill, Fla; a brother S.D. Sweat of Savannah; 24 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Darling Funeral Home Blackshear is in charge.
