BLACKSHEAR - Mrs. Evelena Norman Mock, 52, died Tuesday morning at Memorial
Hospital in Waycross after a brief illness.
     She was a Pierce County native and had been a housewife.  She was a member
of Blackshear First Baptist Church.  Her father was the late Gid Norman.
     Survivors are two daughters, Margaret Thomas Coley, Savannah, and Janice
Thomas Dixon, Blackshear; one son, William Lonnie Thomas, Jamestown; one
stepdaughter, Delane Martin, Blackshear; her mother, Stella Thornton Norman,
Blackshear; one sister, Beatrice Norman Johns, Augusta; five brothers, J.W.
Norman, Miami, FL, Richard Norman, Indian Town, FL, Thomas J. Norman, Atlanta,
Franklin Norman, Kingsland, and Larry Norman, Blackshear; and three grandchildren.
     Funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church,
Blackshear, with the Rev. O.J. Graham and the Rev. Luther Peacock officiating. 
Burial will be in Ben James Cemetery.
     The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Dixon-Bowen-Taylor
Funeral Home, Blackshear.
