Interment was in the church cemetery. Rev.W.D.Bryant and Rev. Henry Tyre officiated at funeral services, and the pallbearers were, Emmett Minchew, Leroy Youmans, Lewis Minchew, Omer Peacock, J.W.Mock, Luther Peacock, Nathan Peacock and Alton Burgsteiner. Mrs. Peacock was born in Pierce County and was held in high esteem by her fellow citizens. Her parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Rance James, pioneer citizens of the county. She leaves a large family connection and a host of friends. She was always faithful to her church, of which she had been a member for 50 years. Surviving Mrs. Peacock are six daughters, four sons, two sisters and one brother. Mrs. A.O. Minchew, Mrs. W.J.Mock, Mrs. D.S.Lewis, Mrs. J.P.Burgsteiner,, Mrs. I.L.Youmans, Mrs. James L.Walker of Blackshear, Messrs. J.R. and C.C.Peacock of Blackshear, Mr. B.M.Peacock of Texas and Mr. C.M.Peacock of Screven. Mrs. Rebecca Duncan Smith and Mrs. L.H.Youmans of Blackshear and Mr.R.T.James of Blackshear.
