     Mr.William Henry Mock, 69, died early Wednesday (12/30/1987) morning in the
Pierce Co. Hospital following a short illness.  A native and life-long resident
of Pierce County, he was a farmer and was a member of the Beulah Baptist Church.
 He was a son of the late Wilson Joseph Mock and Mindy Peacock Mock.  Survivors
are three sisters, Mrs.Mary Thrift of Blackshear, Mrs.Verdie Lee Nunez of
Waycross, and Mrs.Rachael Davis of Nicholls; a brother, Joseph W.Mock of
Waycross; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.  Services for
Mr.Mock were held at 10:30 AM Friday morning at the chapel of Clough-Pearson
Funeral Home.  Officiating were Rev.J.R.Bowen and Rev.Luther Peacock.  Interment
was in the Ben James Cemetery.  Clough-Pearson Funeral Home was in charge.
