"Lum" Peacock BLACKSHEAR-Christopher Columbus "Lum" Peacock Sr., 91, died Tuesday (02/25/1986) at his home after a long illness. He was a retired farmer, a lifelong resident of Pierce County, and a master mason of Blackshear Lodge 270. The son of William and Rachel Peacock, he attended Baptist church services. He is survived by three daughters, Willie Mae Manning and Lucille Strickland, both of Blackshear, and Frances Arrant, Gordon; three sons, the Rev.Luther M.Peacock, P.D.Peacock, and C.C. "Lumby" Peacock Jr., all of Blackshear; 27 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral will be Thursday (02/27/1986) at 2:30 p.m. at Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Daniel Drawdy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with masonic rites conducted at the graveside by members of the Blackshear Lodge. The family will receive friends this evening at Clough-Pearson Funeral Home.
