Mock, 66, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Dixon-Bowen-Taylor Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Van Spradley will officiate. Burial will be in the Ben James Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. He died early Monday morning at the Satilla Regional Medical Center in Waycross after a sudden illness. A native and lifelong resident of Pierce County, he was a Baptist, and a retired carpenter. His father was the late Waco Nunez. He is survived by his wife, Audry Robinson Mock of Blackshear; three daughters, Mrs. Jeff Hayes (Belinda) of Waycross, Mrs. John Carras (Jo) of St. Marys and Mrs. Buddy Willis (Joan) of Blackshear; two sons and daughter-in-law, James and Lynne Mock of Waycross and Terry and Brenda Mock of Blackshear; his mother, Verdie Lee Nunez, Waycross; three sisters, Mrs. Olen Dixon (Charlette) of Palm Harbor, FL, Mrs. Bob Newton (Claudine) of Jacksonville, FL, and Mrs. Walter Austin (Nelda) of Fernandina Beach, FL; two brothers, Clyde Nunez of Jesup and James Nunez of Fernandina Beach; four half-brothers, Wilbur Peacock of Waycross, and Edward, Jimmy and Jerry Peacock of Blackshear; six grandchildren, one great-grandson and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
