Waycross Journal-Hearld  08/23/1954

     Wilson Joseph Mock, 74, died Saturday night at his home in Pierce County
after an extended illness.  The native of Toombs County came to Pierce 55 years
ago and was a prominent farmer and active member of Ben James Primitive Baptist
Church.
     Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Mindy Viola Peacock Mock; four daughters,
Mrs. Henry L. Moody, Pearson, Mrs. J.R. Thrift, Blackshear, Mrs. J.R. Davis,
Wellborn, FL; three sons, W.Henry Mock and W.T. Mock, Blackshear, J.W. Mock,
Waycross; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie McKinney, Dade City, FL, Mrs. Alber L.
Henley, Safety Harbor, FL.
     Funeral services were to be conducted at 3 p.m. this afternoon at Ben James
Church by Elder J.A. O'Neal and Elder Grayson.  Burial will be in Ben James
Cemetery.
